Hi Pinkfresh friends!  It's Angela here, back again to share a fun floral card that I created using the Hydrangea and Rose stamp set from Pinkfresh's June release. This stamp set also has coordinating washi tape and a large die that cuts all the pieces for you at once (gotta love a good time saver!) but if you don't have those, no worries - we'll just need the stamp set for this card.

Normally my first instinct would be to color the stamped images, but this time, I decided to do the reverse and mask them off, applying color outside the outlines instead. If stamp masking is something that intimidates you (like it did for me, when I was first starting out with card making) you'll be happy to hear that this is really easy to do, and you can apply the same technique to all sorts of stamps in your stash.

To get started, I chose two of the floral clusters from the Hydrangea and Rose stamp set, and stamped them in black ink on my trimmed white card panel. Before cleaning them off, I also stamped them onto masking paper. (You could certainly use Post-it tape for this too.) I used the coordinating Hydrangea and Rose die to cut out the images on the masking paper, then cut as closely as I could to the stamped lines, trimming away the thin border of excess that the die left behind.

With my masks trimmed down, I temporarily adhered them directly over their corresponding images on my card panel. The design needed a border too, so I applied extra masking tape around the edges. Next came the color, where I chose Pinkfresh inks in Candy Violet and Mermaid Cove. Using my blending brushes and starting from opposite ends, I filled the middle area that wasn't covered in masking tape until the colors blended evenly into each other.

The next part was definitely the most satisfying - removing the masks! Doing so left behind clean stamped images surrounded by vibrant color, all in a single panel. To finish off, all I needed to do was add a foiled 'thank you' from the Perfect Sentiments set, and a few metallic silver pearls.
