Floral Notes | TaeEun Yoo
Hello, Pinkfresh friends! Hope you’re having a great week so far! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a slimline floral card. I used the Floral Notes stamp set from the latest release. This stamp set has a coordinating stencil set to help you add color on the stamped image but I could’t resist to add colors on this beautiful floral image using coloring mediums :) !
I stamped the Floral Notes image on Neenah solar white cardstock in Peach Fuzz. I then started coloring the image using Copic markers. I used R20s and R30s to color the large flowers. The small flowers were colored in yellow and orange. I didn’t add much details at that time. To add more details I used my Polychromos colored pencils.
After the coloring was completed I cut the image using the coordinating die and set it aside.
To create the background I started by watercoloring a watercolor paper panel in Sunshine, Bubble Gum and Sky Blue using Pinkfresh Studio liquid watercolors. After the panel was dry I applied an embossing ink through Horizontal Stripe stencil and clear heat embossed it. After that I added more watercolors on that panel to get the striped pattern. I cut the panel using the Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die and foam mounted it on a white slimline cardbase.
I adhered the left part of the negative panel which I got after die cutting the floral image on the background panel and foam mounted the Floral Notes image. I cut the “you” three times from some white cardstock and once from a dark brown cardstock using Phrase Builder: you die set. I stacked the white die cut sentiments together, the brown one was adhered slightly shifted on the back of the sentiment. The sentiment from Floral Notes set was white heat embossed on a piece of white cardstock. I ink blended it in Coral Reef.
I finished off the card with a few pink and yellow Jewels.
Hope you enjoyed looking my card today!
Thank you so much! Have a crafty day!

Love your idea of using embossing resist technique of stripes over the watercolour ! Wonderful effect. Beautiful card.
