Chill Enchanting Meadows | Jenny Colacicco
Hello there everyone and happy new year from me to you! I wanted to brighten up your day with something pretty, and Pinkfresh Studio ink colors are just the perfect way to do it, don't you think? My card today is almost all ink blended, leveraging those amazing new layering stencils released last month. Today I'm featuring the Enchanting Meadows Layered Stencil Set and coordinating die.
With the new layering stencils that have a coordinating die, I always like to start off by die cutting the cardstock first. I'm using 110lb Neenah Solar White for my main image. I then overlay the stencils in turn, and this helps me to perfectly line them up.
My color combination today has the aim of uplifting the spirits. I wanted warm and pretty so went with yellows and pinks. I blended the lightest to darkest, which also helps to add the illusion of dimension, with the paler ink looking like it is in the background. I started with Sweet Mustard, Marigold, Passion Fruit and. Raspberry Bliss for the tiny little blossoms.
If you saw my card last month, that used gold glitter gel to add some glitzy highlights, you know I like to add that extra sparkle when stenciling! For the final layer on this card (the larger florals), I used some pink glitter gel that paired perfectly with the ink combo. I then set it aside to dry.
For my background I ink blended the Mustard and Marigold inks up two thirds of the way of a panel of rustic cream cardstock, then mounted my Enchanting Meadows die cut onto the top with foam squares.
My sentiment uses the Lea's Ornate Uppercase dies to spell the word 'CHILL'. After die cutting them, I blended Passion Fruit ink on one half of each letter, and Raspberry Bliss on the other half, then mounted overlapping slightly onto the base of the panel with foam strips. Of course, I finished with some Essentials: Jewels scattered around, then mounted to a notecard.
I want to wish you the very best for the new year, I hope this card brings you a little happiness and inspiration.
