Happy Thursday, Pinkfresh friends! Yasmin here sharing another fun and dimensional inspiration card with a “Pop-up and Butterflies Celebration” look using the Butterfly Garden Stamp, Butterfly Garden Stencil, and Butterfly Garden Die for the stamped/inked floral and butterflies. Also, to make this card, I used the Nested Circles Die to add the round-shaped effect and the Small Butterflies Hot Foil Plate and Solid Hot Foil Plate to add the reversed hot foil stamped butterflies. Lastly, I used one of the pre-cut foiled sentiments from Foiled Sentiments 6 for the card sentiment. Besides, to add the extra details for the card, I used Cloud Builder Stencil and Arch Backdrop Die, and Glitter Drops: Champagne to add an extra touch of sparkle to the card. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it.

Therefore, I started by getting the stamping done using an A2-size white card panel and stamping tool + the Stamp Press Tool for better precision. So, I placed the card panel inside the stamping tool. Next, I lined up over it the stamp image included in the Butterfly Garden Stamp. As for the stamping itself, I kept it simple by getting the image stamped using Warm Buff Ink.

Then, to keep going, after getting the images stamped over the card panel, I moved on to ink up the stamped image using the coordinating stencils included in the Butterfly Garden Stencil. To ink up the stamped image, I used a combination of the 1/2 Blending Brush Set and 1/4 Blending Brush Set. Then, for the ink hues, I used the following ink pads: Clementine Ink, Persimmon Ink, Sweet Mustard Ink, Marigold Ink, Fresh Pear Ink, Evergreen Ink, Meadow Ink, and Aquamarine Ink.

So, after getting the stamped image inked up, I put it aside to let the inking soak into the cardstock. Meanwhile, I started the die-cutting step for the white circle. So, to do that, I used the die-cut machine along with a large piece of white cardstock and the large die included in the Nested Circles Die. I repeated this step twice to get two die-cutting circles, so I got them adhered together back-to-back to have a pretty side on both sides and also to add sturdiness to the circle.

Thus, as soon as I finished getting the die-cutting circled adhered, I put them aside to continue with the creation of the pop-up base for the card.

Therefore, I used the paper trimmer and white cardstock to get two pieces of cardstock trimmed down to W 4-1/4 x H 5.0 inches. Next, after getting those pieces of cardstock trimmed down, I placed one of the cardstock with the large side horizontally over the scoreboard tool, and then I used the point of my Teflon bone folder to trace over the cardstock pieces some scoring lines at 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0 inches marks.

Next, I repeated the same steps over the second cardstock piece, and once I had those steps completed, I got the scoring lines folded over in the same direction on each cardstock piece to create a rectangle box-looking effect on both cardstock pieces. 

Thus, after getting the rectangular box shapes, I got their ends secured by adding glue to the ends. Then, I placed them side-to-side to get the inner part glued together to create a whole piece.

To create one pop-up piece, I lined up the pieces side-by-side, as I mentioned earlier. Due to the display of the card, I made sure to have the already glued ends facing the bottom part of the pop-up pieces. So, after getting that step done, I added a strip of glue to the inner ends and held them together to get them securely attached. Quick note: please, make sure to only add the adhesive to the ends parts and not in the center part.

 You can see in the image above how the pop-up base should look from a side view. There are three ways to get the card folded after completed and have it ready to place inside an A2-size envelope. Once you get it, it's going to be fun finding your folding way.

Nevertheless, after getting the pop-up base for the card completed, I put it aside to do the die-cutting step for the inked images.

Thus, for the die-cutting, I used again the die-cut machine and the die included in the Butterfly Garden Die. 

Right after I got to the die-cutting step, I brought back the die-cutting circle that I layered at the beginning, and then I placed it inside the opening center part of the pop-up base to start the embellishing step for the card.

You can take an upper view of how I placed the die-cutting circle inside the opening area. Also, I would love to mention that I had the bottom part of the circle attached to the pop-up base. However, if you want to take a step further, you can create a top folding circle-shaped card to create extra space on where to write your message instead of having it written on the back of the card.

Moving forward to the embellishments, I used every die-cutting image to get them glued around the circle. Also, I got some of the images tucked in the center. By the way, this set is so versatile, so be creative and have fun looking look for the perfect placement for each image.

So, as soon as I got the circle embellished, I added extra layers to the back, front, and upper sides of the pop-up base. Therefore, I used the paper trimmer to trim down four small pieces of white cardstock to W 4.0 x H 3/4 of an inch. After getting those pieces trimmed down, I got each of them glued down, as shown in the image above.

Lastly, I moved on to add the finishing touches to finish the card completed. So, I glued down the card sentiment to the left front part of the pop-up base. As for the card sentiment, I used a pre-cut and foil sentiment from the Foiled Sentiments 6 pack. Also, to add extra shine, I used some of the Glitter Drops: Champagne.

Then, I placed a large butterfly in the center part of the circle. Next, I added a small butterfly to the right front part of the pop-up base. As for these butterflies, I used reverse hot foil stamping using the Small Butterflies Hot Foil Plate and Solid Hot Foil Plate. Besides that, I used the Glimmer Hot Foil System and a piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Aura.
