Art Deco Brighter Days | Dilay Nacar
Welcome, friends! It’s Dee here, back to share some inspiration using more goodies from the latest release! This card features the Art Deco and Brighter Days foil plates combined with soft pinks and purples for an elegant and serene design.
To begin, I created a base using the largest Blanket Stitched Rectangle die. I then hot foiled the Art Deco and Brighter Days plates with matte gold foil. To add depth and dimension to the background, I die-cut the Art Deco foiled piece with the Simply Diamonds die and added a few negative pieces onto the base with thin foam tape (keeping the positive die-cut for a future card!)
Next, I colored the Brighter Days foiled piece with the coordinating stencils using Soft Lilac, Lavender, and Sunshine for the blooms and Ballet Slipper and Sparkling Rose for the leaves. Once complete, I die cut it with the coordinating Brighter Days die.
Before assembling the blooms and leaves, I die-cut Curvy Foliage in light pink vellum and adhered it on top of the foiled diamonds (anytime I add colored vellum to a card, I always love the outcome!) I then adhered the blooms and leaves on top, creating a focal point. To finish, I added the hello from the Fancy Script set, which I had previously foiled, and a few Metallic Gold Pearls for some extra shine!
Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope that you are inspired to create something new!
